Terms and Conditions
Upon booking your lessons you are reserving the time of a teacher for your personal lesson.
Lesson payments
- All students are required to stay one lesson Payment in advance at all times.
- Bulk payments of 6 lessons are available
- All payments are done via debit either from nominated card or nominated bank account.
- Phone and card payments will incur a 1.75% merchant fee.
- Bank Debits incur a 1%+30c merchant fee
- Once a lesson length is arranged (30/45/60 minutes) the full lesson fee must be paid regardless of running late or needing to leave early.
- Students wanting to do lessons periodically will need to contact the academy and book in lessons as they go, you can only book 1 week ahead, regular time slots are only guaranteed for weekly students.
- If your account balance reaches $0 your timeslot will automatically be opened by our automated system and become available for other students to book.
- No refund will be given for any cancelations part way through a bulk payment or fixed length program (group lessons, band club, workshops).
Lesson Cancellations and Holiday periods
- Students are required to give at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice prior to cancelling a lesson to avoid forfeiting the lesson fee.
- Lesson cancelations before 24hr will in-title you to a make up credit that you can use in an available make up slot or academy run workshop.
- You can only have 2 make up credits on file at any one time.
- Make up credits stay valid for 3 months (90days)
- Make up credits can only be used whilst your account is in credit.
- Cancelations inside of twenty-four (24) hours will forfeit the lesson fee for that lesson and no makeup credit will be issued.
- You can book in make up lessons via the online student portal and cannot be done inside your regular lesson slot.
- Cancelations are required to be done through the online portal
- There is also a lesson cancelation button located on our student login page for customers who have any difficulty logging in.
- Two consecutive weeks of missed lessons without arranged cancelations will result in your lessons being put on hold and forfeit of booked timeslot. Students will be required to rebook a lesson and arrange a new lesson time.
- Students can put their lesson payments on hold for holiday periods, only for periods longer then 2 weeks
- Lesson payment holds will not be done for any periods of 2 weeks or less. (you will receive make up credits)
- Lesson Payment hold periods do not include Academy Closed periods (you will not be charged when the academy is closed.)
- If you do not have a return date set your lesson slot will be forfeited and you will need to rebook a new lesson time.
- Cancelations of membership or changes to memberships must be done in writing via email and have a 2 weeks notice period.
- If canceling a membership, you must use up your make up lessons before the end of your paid period.
- Any make-up lessons left owing will automatically terminate once your paid membership ends.
Photography and Filming
- Western Sydney music Academy may use film or still photographs of students for appropriate promotional purposes.
- Students (Or parents and guardians of students under 18 years of age) must inform western Sydney music academy management if you will not allow the use of such images.
Duration of agreement
- These terms and conditions are a rolling agreement that continues until a two week cancelation is received.
Changes to Terms and Conditions.
- The terms and conditions described above are agreed to upon enrolment and may be changed at anytime by western Sydney music academy without providing notice. A copy of terms and conditions will always be available on our website and can be emailed on request.
